Technique
Setup
Hinge at the hips with a flat back. Hold dumbbells and bring your upper arms parallel to your torso, elbows tucked in.
Movement
Extend your forearms backward until your arms are straight and parallel to the floor. Squeeze your triceps at the peak, then lower back to the start.
Form Tip
Only the forearms should move. Keep your upper arms pinned to your sides to prevent shoulder involvement.
Increase Difficulty
Add a 1-second squeeze at the top of the movement with palms rotated toward the ceiling.
Decrease Difficulty
Perform the exercise one arm at a time while supporting your torso with the other hand on a bench.
