Technique
Setup
Assume a push-up position but place your hands close together so that your index fingers and thumbs form a diamond shape directly under your chest.
Movement
Lower your body until your chest touches the diamond, then push back up by extending your arms.
Form Tip
Keep your elbows tucked close to your ribs throughout. This variation shifts the emphasis significantly toward the triceps.
Increase Difficulty
Elevate your feet on a bench or slow the tempo on the descent.
Decrease Difficulty
Perform the movement with your knees on the floor.
