Setup
Clear the floor around a solid wall and start in a push-up position with your feet against the base of the wall. Walk your feet up the wall while walking your hands back toward it, stopping with your hands a short step from the wall and your chest facing it.
Movement
Press the floor away with straight arms and push tall through your shoulders, squeezing your glutes and legs so your body forms one line. Hold, then walk your hands out and your feet down the wall to come out with control.
Form Tip
Keep your ribs tucked and avoid arching into a banana shape, which loads the lower back. To come out quickly, walk your hands away from the wall or turn to one side and step down.
Increase Difficulty
Walk your hands closer to the wall, or extend the hold.
Decrease Difficulty
Walk only partway up the wall, or hold a pike with your feet on a chair instead.
