Technique
Setup
Stand tall with feet hip-width apart.
Movement
Hinge at the hips and place your hands on the floor. Walk your hands forward until you are in a high plank position. Hold for 1 second, then walk your hands back toward your feet and stand up.
Form Tip
Keep your legs as straight as possible to stretch the hamstrings. Avoid letting your hips sag as you reach the plank position.
Increase Difficulty
Walk your hands past the standard plank position (overextended plank) or add a push-up at the bottom.
Decrease Difficulty
Bend your knees as much as needed to reach the floor or stop at a partial plank.
