Technique
Setup
Stand on a flat surface or the edge of a step. Hold dumbbells at your sides for added resistance.
Movement
Rise onto your toes by contracting your calves. Squeeze at the top, then lower your heels back to the start.
Form Tip
Maintain a tall posture and avoid leaning forward. Control the movement at both ends of the range.
Increase Difficulty
Perform on one leg to double the load or add a pause at the peak contraction.
Decrease Difficulty
Perform with hands supported on a wall for balance and without extra weight.
