Technique
Setup
Stand tall holding the EZ bar overhand on its outer angled grips, slightly wider than shoulder-width, arms hanging at your thighs. Brace your core and keep your chest up.
Movement
Lead with your elbows to pull the bar up close to your body until your elbows reach shoulder height and the bar is around your lower chest. Lower slowly to the start.
Form Tip
Keep the grip wide and stop when your elbows reach shoulder height; a narrow grip or pulling the bar up to your chin pinches the shoulder joint.
Increase Difficulty
Add weight, or pause for 1 second at the top.
Decrease Difficulty
Use a lighter bar, or switch to Lateral Raises with dumbbells.
