Technique
Setup
Take an underhand grip on the long bar with your hands about shoulder width apart, palms facing you. Lock your thighs under the pad and sit tall with your arms fully extended.
Movement
Drive your elbows down and slightly back until the bar touches your upper chest. Return under control to a full stretch overhead.
Form Tip
Keep your wrists straight and your elbows pointing down. The underhand grip loads the biceps more, so lead with the elbows rather than curling the bar down.
Increase Difficulty
Pause for 1 second at your chest, or slow the return to 3 seconds.
Decrease Difficulty
Use a lighter stack, or switch to Band Lat Pulldowns (Kneeling).
