Technique
Setup
Lie on your side with your elbow directly under your shoulder and your forearm flat on the floor. Stack your feet, or stagger them with the top foot in front for more stability.
Movement
Lift your hips until your body forms a straight line from head to heels, and hold. Lower with control when the time is up, then switch sides.
Form Tip
Push the floor away with your forearm and keep your hips pressed forward; letting them sag or drift back moves the load out of the obliques.
Increase Difficulty
Lift the top leg, or extend the hold.
Decrease Difficulty
Bend your knees and support yourself on your bottom knee instead of your feet.
