Technique
Setup
Stand on one leg with a soft knee, holding the kettlebell in the hand opposite your standing leg. Brace your core and square your hips to the floor.
Movement
Hinge at the hip, lowering the bell toward the floor as your free leg extends straight back. Stop when your hamstring is fully stretched and your back is still flat, then drive your hip forward to stand. Finish the set, then switch sides.
Form Tip
Keep both hip bones pointing at the floor; if the free hip rotates open, the hamstring loses tension and you lose your balance.
Increase Difficulty
Use a heavier bell or add a 3-second lowering phase.
Decrease Difficulty
Rest your back toes lightly on the floor in a kickstand stance, or hold a wall with your free hand.
