Technique
Setup
Set a bench to a 30-45 degree incline. Sit back and hold dumbbells directly above your chest, palms facing forward.
Movement
Lower the weights to shoulder height with elbows at a 45-degree angle. Press back up until arms are fully extended.
Form Tip
Focus on driving through the upper chest. Retract your shoulder blades to create a stable base and protect the shoulder joint.
Increase Difficulty
Increase the weight or add a pause at the bottom of each rep.
Decrease Difficulty
Use a lower incline or perform the movement on the floor (Incline Floor Press).
